This video was shot at a camp organized by Redbull to showcase talented Swiss dancers, while training new talent in the audiovisual field.
The camp was held in English, as the participants didn't all speak the same language. This put me to the test of collaborating with two more experienced people I didn't know, at least before this experience. We had to make a video about the dancer Mam's. It was a wonderful encounter with an incredible and very human personality.
We came up with a concept that emphasized his status as a teacher, in spite of his status as a contestant.
Then we met with the dancer to discuss it. Following this, we shot and edited the video, first in a short format for Instagram, then in a more extended format for their website.
This project was full of anecdotes, impossible to choose just one. I met some incredible people, full of talent, who taught me a lot about the business, about collaboration, and about the human aspect. I also had the chance to merge two fields I really enjoy, video and dance.
The thing I'll take away from this experience is that I mustn't be afraid to impose myself, and to give my point of view!
